Rare Bird
Rare Bird, an airy rooftop oasis downtown, is one of our favorite rooftop restaurants in Nashville. A block north of Broadway on the top floor of the Noelle Hotel, Rare Bird offers a peaceful restaurant from the strip. However, you’ll still be close enough to Broadway to avoid FOMO.
Featuring chic, playful patio furniture and a stylish and sleek bar, Rare Bird will make you feel special. With both indoor and outdoor seating, you’ll enjoy stunning views of downtown Nashville. Rare Bird is equally suited for an evening watching the sunset, a night spent underneath the stars, or a heat wave afternoon!
Grab a craft cocktail or a frozen drink to cool off and enjoy their delicious menu. It’s our pick when you want Broadway’s energy just a block away but a calmer, more grown-up rooftop where you can actually hear the people at your table. Time it for golden hour and the downtown skyline puts on a show.
The Nash Rooftop Lounge (formerly the Bobby Hotel)
Quite close to Rare Bird, The Nash (the Printer’s Alley hotel known for years as the Bobby Hotel, rebranded in 2026) is similarly chic. What’s more, it’s particularly attractive to Nashville’s omnipresent bachelor and bachelorette parties and influencers, and it’s one of the most photographed rooftops in the entire city.
The showstopper is a vintage 1956 Greyhound Scenicruiser bus that was hoisted ten stories straight up and parked right on the rooftop, now a one-of-a-kind open-air bar and easily the best photo opportunity downtown. Around it you’ll find rentable beach-style cabanas, cozy fire pits, and a bar pouring beer, wine, cocktails, and bites.
Come winter, the rooftop transforms. They set up a cluster of beautiful heated domes, private little glass igloos strung with lights, so you can keep those skyline views all season long without ever feeling the chill. It’s one of the most magical spots downtown for a cold-weather date or a celebration.
Acme Feed and Seed
Acme Feed & Seed is a true downtown Nashville gem. Once an old feed store, , the massive structure offers four levels of fun and entertainment on the corner of Broadway and 1st.
Acme Feed & Seed features live music, a wide variety of food, and a handful of high-volume bars. They also have the best rooftop view in downtown Nashville, you can see both the Cumberland River and Broadway. In fact, iHeartRadio named Acme’s rooftop one of the top 20 rooftop bars in America, and once you are up there watching the river roll past the skyline, it is easy to see why. This place is always rockin’, especially with sports fans.
Most importantly, it’s the best place to eat in downtown Nashville. The main floor offers twists on southern classics like Redneck Lo Mein and a gorgonzola-laced meatloaf. On the second floor, enjoy sushi with daily fresh fish.
L.A. Jackson
To escape the hustle and bustle of downtown Nashville, head to L.A. Jackson in the heart of The Gulch. At the top of the Thompson Nashville, this rooftop bar offers some of the best views and a great vibe. Tucked above one of the city’s most walkable neighborhoods, it’s the rooftop we send people to when they want the Gulch’s see-and-be-seen energy with a little more polish, and it glows at sunset.
Featuring signature cocktails and mocktails, L.A. Jackson also has a steady draft of Nashville-brewed beers. They’re well-known for their shareable cocktails and espresso martini! If you’re hungry, enjoy an eclectic menu with items like venison poppers and hand pies. On Saturdays and Sundays, enjoy brunch staples and refreshing cocktails.
Denim (The Joseph Hotel)
On the 21st floor of The Joseph in SoBro, Denim is the rooftop you take a date you’re trying to impress. Polished but relaxed, with sweeping skyline views, a fireplace patio, and a cocktail program that takes itself seriously. The hotel’s restaurant Yolan (Tony Mantuano) sits below, so you can pair an aperitif up here with dinner downstairs.
Order the seasonal spritz or a classic martini with their snack board. It leans more date-night and special-occasion than party, so it is a dressier rooftop worth booking ahead on a weekend.
lou/na (Grand Hyatt Nashville)
Twenty-five stories above downtown, lou/na at the Grand Hyatt is a railroad-inspired rooftop lounge with indoor and outdoor seating, a fireplace patio, and live music most nights. The L&N Railroad theme is everywhere, brass details, deep leather, and warm wood, and it’s the highest rooftop in the city.
Order shareable plates and a craft cocktail from the lounge bar. Reservations recommended on weekends.
The Twelve Thirty Club Rooftop
Justin Timberlake and Sam Fox’s three-floor supper club at 5th & Broadway tops out with a rooftop bar that has the best views over Lower Broadway and the riverfront. Live music or DJs most nights, a dressed-up crowd, and a city-light atmosphere that genuinely earns the hype.
Order a martini or the signature “Twelve Thirty” cocktail. This is peak see-and-be-seen Nashville, right in the middle of 5th & Broadway, so come for the energy and the people-watching as much as the view. The Twelve Thirty Club.
Rosemary & Beauty Queen (East Nashville)
This isn’t a skyscraper rooftop, it’s a back-porch-party rooftop. Rosemary & Beauty Queen took over a restored 1920s house in Five Points and turned it into one of East Nashville’s most-loved drinks-first hangouts. Porch swings under a huge tree, garden patio, and an upstairs porch deck that doubles as the rooftop.
One of our very favorite things here is the colorful uplighting in the back garden. After dark it washes the big shade tree and the whole patio in jewel-toned light, and the space turns genuinely magical, the kind of spot that feels like a secret even though half of East Nashville already loves it.
The cocktail program is the real draw, ask the bartender for whatever they’re excited about that week.
Tall Tales at Waymore’s (East Nashville)
Brand new, the rooftop opened in 2024 atop Waymore’s Guest House, a boutique hotel inspired by Waylon Jennings. Tall Tales is the 5th-floor rooftop bar, 4,000 square feet of plant-lined indoor and outdoor lounge with East Nashville skyline views.
Hit the daily 4 to 6pm happy hour for craft cocktails. The vibe leans country-cool, the kind of rooftop that feels like an extension of the neighborhood, not a tourist trap.
