CHRISTINE WHEATLEY
A Little Local Flavor Founder | Guide | Keynote Speaker
Christine founded A Little Local Flavor in 2018 after falling in love with Nashville’s food scene and the people behind it. What started as a side project quickly became a full-time business built around one simple idea: great experiences can change how people see a city, and where they choose to spend their money matters.
Over the years, Christine has designed and led thousands of tours, helped direct more than $1 million to locally owned restaurants, and built one of the most highly reviewed experiences in Nashville. She’s deeply involved in guide training, storytelling, and making sure every guest feels welcomed, well-fed, and genuinely connected to the city.
Outside of tours, Christine is a keynote speaker and podcast host who talks openly about entrepreneurship, building a business without a traditional startup path, experience design, and the realities of running a values-driven company. She enjoys thoughtful conversations about small business, community impact, and creating work that actually supports the life you want.
Christine is always happy to connect around speaking opportunities, panels, and podcast guesting, especially when the conversation centers on people, purpose, and meaningful experiences.

KYLE ELLIOTT
Kyle is a Nashville native and a true lover of all things Music City. When not showing you the best places to eat around town, Kyle can most likely be found performing in one of Nashville’s many live music venues as a recording artist or putting in time as a country singer/songwriter. In his rare spare time Kyle finds joy in traveling, hiking throughout Tennessee's state parks, and line dancing at the local honky tonks. Brother, he’s country.
KYLE’S NASHVILLE FAVORITES:
Bar: Old Glory
Outdoor Oasis: Bicentennial Park
Live Music Venue: The Listening Room Cafe or Ascend Amphitheater
Neighborhood: Germantown
KRYSTIN LARSEN
A local swing dance instructor and actress, Krystin Larsen is a lover of the arts who is often found hitting the dance floors of our local Nashville honky tonks. Having lived in Nashville for 23 years, she’s witnessed first-hand the incredible change that has taken place in Music City over the past decade. And while she appreciates the growth of our city, she still holds a special adoration for the older Nashville landmarks that give it such rich history.
KRYSTIN’S NASHVILLE FAVORITES:
Restaurant: Butcher & Bee
Bar: Attaboy
Neighborhood: East Nashville
Musician: The Cowpokes or JD McPherson
KREN TEREN
A New Englander born and bred, Kren moved to Nashville in 1985 for the same reason many people do today: to pursue a career in music — her husband’s, that is. His career in the biz took off, so the two happily made Nashville their home, raising their kids and building a life here. Although Kren is a passionate cook and photographer, her main enthusiasm lies in exploring the outdoors. From trail running at Edwin Warner Park to rowing at Percy Priest Lake, she loves seeking out new activities and new places.
Kren’s Nashville Favorites:
Restaurant: Henrietta Red or The Café at Thistle Farms
Outdoor Oasis: Percy Warner Park + Edwin Warner Park
Local Shop: Bare Bones Butcher
Live Music Venue: The Bluebird Cafe — especially if George Teren is playing! (or anywhere for a songwriters round)
